Boy, 2, Found Wandering Outside in Wis. Rapids

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department says an 18-month-old boy was initially placed in protective custody after he was found alone, outside Friday morning.

The incident happened happened around 11:20 a.m. Friday morning in the Thousand Oaks Trailer Park.

Police are recommending the parent be charged with neglect.

The Wis. Rapids Police Department tells NewsChannel 7 they're conducting an interview with the person who was supposed to be watching a 2-year-old boy who was found wandering by himself.

Police say the child is with Human Services right now.

NewsChannel 7 will continue to follow this story and update you if criminal charges are filed.

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is currently on the scene with a small child who was wandering outside without a parent or supervision.

The area that he was found was on Red Oak Road near Thousand Oaks Road in the Thousand Oaks Trailer Park which is located on 29th Ave S near Boles Street in Wisconsin Rapids.

The WRPD is looking for the parent or guardian of this found child.

He is approximately or under 2 years old,
Blond Hair
Blue Eyes
Red and Orange Short-sleeved Shirt,
No Pants,
Wearing a Diaper
Wearing one sock.
