Antigo H.S. Wins $30,000 for New Classroom Technology

Three area high schools are big winners in classroom technology contest awarding thousands of dollars to the top vote getters.

Wednesday morning representatives from Cellcom presented a check for $30,000 to staff and students at Antigo High School to be used solely to purchase new tech toys for their classrooms.

Antigo edged just ahead of Tomahawk High School in the final voting day, putting them in 1st place with the $15,000 grant for new classroom technology. Merrill received $5,000.

The Project Innovate community voting challenge took place from October 22 through November 19 and included Antigo, Crandon, Florence, Gilman, Lakeland Union, Laona, Merrill, Tomahawk and Wabeno high schools.
