From drugs and alcohol to dating, there is now a new way for area parents to get informed.
Several organizations are coming together up to bring the "Knowledge is Power" parenting forums.
They will be every Tuesday and Thursday in October.
Week 1: Drugs and Alcohol in the Community
Week 2: Parenting and Communication
Week 3: Law Enforcement Panel
Week 4: Dating Violence and Internet Safety
Weeks 1-3 are for parents only, but you can bring your child (as long as they're at least in middle school) with you for Week 4.
Tuesdays 5:30 - 7:30pm: Mount Olive Lutheran Church (6205 Alderson Street in Schofield)
Thursdays 5:30 - 7:30pm: UWMC North Hall (518 South 7th Avenue in Wausau)
All sessions are free and available on a first come, first serve basis. You will have to register though, if you need child care.
