Weston Fest allows people of all ages to come out, and have a good, healthy time.

It’s the 4th year for the event. It’s designed to bring local businesses and residents together to remind us all about the importance of doing what we can to stay healthy.

The events kicked off Friday at Kennedy Park in Weston. All weekend long, people could stop out at the park and enjoy anything from a family movie night to carnival games.

Many residents even decided to head to the Weston pool to beat the heat at no charge. Organizers say it takes a lot of hard work, but it's all worth it in the end.

Valerie Parker, of the event coordination team says, “It is amazing. I always say their is alot of work that gets put into it, alot of hours. It’s all worth it when the day comes and you see the amount of people that show up. Just knowing that there are a handful of us that put this all on, is a great feeling."

Sunday’s events concluded with an annual bike ride. The event is put on by Weston based bike company, Sprockets, and gives hundreds of bike enthusiasts a chance to get their bike maintained, and then take it for either a 6 or 11 mile ride.

The ride and service to the bicycles were all free for those in attendance. Event organizers said this year's Weston Fest was their biggest ever, and by far, bringing out thousands of people each day.

Organizers say they are already beginning to plan next year's event.
