West Bend Man Identified in Lake Shishebogama Drowning

Fifty-six-year-old Russell E. Steiner of West Bend, Wis. is dead after he drowned in Lake Shishebogama late Saturday night, according to a Minoqua Police Department press release.

At 10:58 p.m. Saturday, crews got a call of a man struggling in the lake from a residence on the 8000 block of Minch Road in Minoqua.

Prior to rescue crews arrival to the scene, family members pulled Steiner out of the water, the press release said.

When rescue units got to the scene they performed CPR, and Steiner was transported to Howard Young Medical Center and passed away.

The investigation of the exact cause is ongoing, however the press release said alcohol is believed to have played a role in the incident.
