The thousands of names on this list have been added for various reasons and there are various conditions upon which they are able to satisfy their warrants.
The public list includes names, the reason for the warrant, the date it was issued, and a bond amount, if it applies. Some people owe several hundred dollars, others owe several thousand dollars.
"My advice to people who have warrants would be to try to take care of them," says Sheriff Thomas Reichert. "Get a hold of the clerk of courts office and try to work out a payment plans if that's available."
The number of total warrants now is slightly higher than it was six years ago, it's about a 15 percent increase. Sheriff Reichert believes it's because of the economic times fewer people have the money to satisfy their warrants.
*** Please note this list is just the outstanding warrants that have been entered in the past month. it is possible that some of these subjects have been found already or have made arrangements to satisfy their warrant.
If you know the whereabouts of any of these persons, please call the Wood County Sheriff’s Department at 421-8700 or contact your local police agency. Your information will be held in the strictest confidence.
