Compared to the weather we've seen so far this winter, Thursday's storm may not appear so bad. However, law enforcement wants to remind drivers to take it easy on the way home because road surfaces can change unpredictably in this type of weather.
Assistant Chief Tom Zenner from the Stevens Point Police Department says,"This time of year we get a rain storm very close to freezing temps and that can turn to ice at a moment's notice... bad roads can change in a matter of seconds."
He suggest drivers give themselves a little more time on their way home and to make sure they leave a safe distance between them and the car in front.
