Waushara County's K-9 Officer Passes Away

The Waushara County Sheriff's Department says their K-9 Officer, Anuk passed away Monday from natural causes.

Anuk and his partner Deputy Wally Zuehlke became the first Canine Team in the Sheriff’s Office. Anuk joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2006.

A public memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 11:00 am at the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office in Wautoma to honor Anuk’s contribution to providing a safer community.

A private ceremony will be held for law enforcement only immediately after the memorial service.

He was 10 years old.
