Authorities are investigating what caused a delivery truck to lose control striking a tree, lawnmower and guide wires for a power pole Monday morning in Wausau. The accident happened around 10 a.m. on River Drive near the VFW.
Wausau Fire Department Battalion Chief, Paul Czarapata tells NewsChannel 7 the driver was not injured.
Initial calls into the dispatch center reported that a pedestrian may have been hit, but Czrapata says thankfully no one was hurt.
Our reporter at the scene says River Drive is very busy this morning as kayakers are in the area for the Canoe Slalom World Championships.
