Wausau West Falls to U. School in Quarterfinals

The Wausau West boys hockey team made their fifth straight appearance in the WIAA State Hockey Tournament, this year taking on University School of Milwaukee.

40 seconds left in the first period, it was the Warriors getting on the board early thanks to Cale Bowman with the assist from Alex Gessler, Warriors up 1-0.

West on the offensive for most of the game, racking up 44 shots on goal to University's 17.

University's Duncan Brown would tie it all up with five minutes left in the second.

This game would go all the way to double overtime, but it was University's Nick Epperson who scored the game-winning goal.

Warriors end their season with a final record of 20-7.
