The City of Wausau is cracking down on local properties that are not being properly cared for
and now city officials are looking for feedback from residents.
The city has mailed out a survey to residents asking them to rate the overall quality and condition of the homes in their neighborhoods.
It is designed to be a means of figuring out where the most problems exist within the city.
Officials in charge of the survey say that helping to fix blighted properties is key to moving the community forward.
"Many times when you have blight in a neighborhood it can spread. By containing that and working with it, we can achieve making strong neighborhoods that people want to move into. " said Wausau Community Development Director Ann Werth.
Participants are given the option of completing the survey either online or send it back through the mail.
The deadline to complete them is July 15th.
