The City of Wausau has announced Tracey Kujawa will be Wausau’s next Fire Chief.
Chief Kujawa is currently serving as the Fire Chief for Stevens Point, and will assume leadership of the Wausau Fire Department tentatively on May 12.
At the WFD, Chief Kujawa will command a department with 58 sworn personnel and a full-time administrative assistant. She will manage the department’s $6.3 million budget and have operational control of three stations with all the necessary fire suppression, prevention, and
emergency response equipment required to provide high quality fire and emergency response service to the Wausau community.
Chief Kujawa will be formally appointed April 22 at the scheduled Police & Fire Commission meeting at 8:30 a.m.
