For the first time since her disappearance in October 2010, the Wausau Police Department said they believe Stephanie Low, then 22, was murdered.

A press release issued Wednesday, said investigators believe her body was moved from the residence of 701 ½ W. Thomas St. in Wausau.

Police Chief Jeff Hardel said there have been 379 reports completed in the investigation to date. He says the case is still actively being investigated.

Kristopher Torgerson, aka “Spider”, has been named a person of interest. Torgerson was sentenced to prison earlier this year on unrelated charges.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact Detective Jennifer Holz at the Wausau Police Department at 715.261.7883.
