The Wausau Community and Economic Development committee has launched a new website to keep the community up to date on the progress of the city's riverfront project.
The website features photos of future business development and also allows the public to voice their input.
Twenty-one acres along the Wisconsin River from McIndoe to Bridge Street will be revitalize as part of its $82 million project.
The city has received grants from a variety of sources to cleanup the former industrial property and prepare for future development. The plans include a mix of residential, commercial and public land use.
A public open house on the plans for the area will take place in July. Details will be posted on the website. Click here to view it.
