Wausau Equality March Planned Following Gay Marriage Ruling

A Wausau based LGBT group is planning to hold an equality event on Wausau's 400 Block which will be called Celebration of Love.
The event will be held on Saturday June 21st and will feature an opportunity for people of all sexual orientations to either get married or propose during the event. A wedding officiant will be on-hand for the event.

While the Event for Equality group held a gay pride march last year, they decided they would incorporate the additional elements this year following the announcement that Wisconsin's same-sex marriage ban was being overturned.

"We decided after the ruling last week, that it would be nice to incorporate some type of a celebration or commitment ceremony, so we came up with the Celebration of Love." says organizer Jen Krug.

Other events at the Celebration of Love will include live music, speakers, a drag show, and a equality march.
