The Wausau Police Department is investigating an early morning burglary at Country Coin and Collectibles near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Quaw streets.

Owner Brian Boehm says $8,000 to $11,000 worth of coins were stolen including presidential dollars and state quarters.

It happened during the time frame of 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.

"Obviously, we have to turn it into our insurance company and hopefully we can recover some of the items. If not hopefully we can repurchase some of the items and get it back into our store inventory,” he said.

If you have any information, contact the Wausau Police Department at (715) 261-7800.
