A Lieutenant from the Wood County Sheriff's Department said the search for Eric Hall is moving into neighboring Jackson County.
The Wood County Dispatch Center says deputies responded to a home in Vesper late Monday night searching for Hall. Authorities say the homeowner, Francis Otto, lied saying Hall was not there. They say that's when Hall stole Otto's vehicle. Francis Otto was arrested for obstructing an officer.
The vehicle investigators say Hall took, a silver 2004 GMC Sierra pick-up truck with a Wisconsin license plate of GD7687, was recovered in Jackson County Tuesday. Now, they believe he's driving a gray 2005 Pontiac Montana van with Wis. plates 974KZS.
Hall, 38, is wanted on a felony warrant for a probation violation. He's described as possibly armed and dangerous. If you see him, call law enforcement immediately.
According to a news release from the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department, Hall was released from prison on June 10. A warrant was issued for his arrest on June 13.
