Walker Admin. Criticized Over Controversial Hire

Democrats are criticizing Governor Walker's administration over a controversial hire.

Last year the head of the Department of Safety and Professional Services gave a job to the wife a republican party chairman, and a $27,000 raise.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that no other applicants were considered before Angel Herl was given the job.

She is married to Mike Herl, Chairman of the Dane County Republican Party.

The department head says he hired Herl based on merit alone.

Yes the governor is creating a job at taxpayers expense, only 249,999 jobs left to go. He is doing such a great job, lets keep him for the whole term and he will have created at least 10 jobs.

A job is given to a friend and the salary is increased $27,000. This increase would have provided a person in our area a job with wages for a year. I guess everyone else is suppose to recieve a cut in pay and benefits except the friends of Walker.

What a shock. The guy likes to hang around with the most talented peoples, and that is why they get the good jobs. It has nothing to do with their connections or relationships......right.....It is hard to believe he is a Republican...

I guess thats where the jobs creation is for Wisconsin. You just have to be in the right pocket to be qualified.
