Wisconsin Public Services says high winds are to blame for numerous power outages throughout central and north central Wisconsin.

As of 3:15 p.m. Monday, 2,110 were still without power.

WPS says at the height of the outages Monday morning, more than 7,000 customers were without electricity.

Crews have been called in to the Rhinelander, Minocqua, and Eagle Rivers where nearly 2,000 are without power in 56 separate incidents.
