Icy Roadways Get Worse as Temperatures Plummet

As the temperatures drop and the winds pick up, the weather is becoming dangerous for drivers.

As your Weather Authority, the National Weather Service has recorded wind gusts around 45 miles and hour. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department is being dispatched to a number of downed trees, power lines, and is reporting a number of crashes.

Law enforcement asks everyone to be careful as roads are slick, and the winds can cause very treacherous driving conditions.
