Now that the events from the weekend are winding down in Wausau, other villages around the area are prepping for more summer-time fun.
The Village of Kronenwetter is set to host its first ever movie under the stars.
Kronenwetter leaders will use one of the villages hidden gems: Friendship Park.
The community is welcome to take part Aug. 22.
Madagascar 3 was chosen to be shown at dusk, and families can bring a blanket, any food or drink and even their pets to the movie night.
"We're trying to improve the quality of life here in Kronenwetter," Richard Downey, Kronenwetter village administrator, said. "I don't want to take anything away from other communities around here, but we have a nice quality of life with our farmer's market and bike and walk event. This was just something we wanted to do."
The cub scouts will be at the movie selling refreshments and people will get to watch the film on a 9 foot by 12 foot screen.
Downey also said he's had other villages in the area ask him about how he is planning the outdoor movie so they can plan for their villages.
Organizers held a poll on their Facebook page to choose the movie, and that is also where they'll announce updates on the event.
