The Tomah Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center will team up with Adams County Veterans Service office to host a Veterans Benefits Fair on July 31, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., at 569 North Cedar Street in Adams-Friendship, Wis.
All Veterans and the public are invited to visit the Adams County Community Center to learn about the numerous benefits available to Veterans through the VA, state, county, and other organizations and programs. Staff will also be available to enroll eligible Veterans for care.
“This is a terrific way for Veterans to learn more about the benefits they have earned by serving our nation,” said Amanda Steinhoff, one of the Veterans Benefits Fair organizers from the Tomah VA Medical Center. “We want people to come out and even if you are not a Veteran, you can learn about the benefits available to the Veteran in your life.”
There will be numerous booths with information including: County Veteran Service Officers, PTSD/Substance Abuse, Dental, enrollment/eligibility, SSVF, housing authority, HUD-VASH, Judicare, WDVA, transportation, aging and disability center, voc rehab, MyHealthyVet, job center, woman veteran healthcare, and Vet Center staff will be available at the event. Veterans will also be able to drop off unused medications for disposal.
