The United Way of Marathon County unveiled the prize for its new Driven to Give campaign sweepstakes. One lucky person will win a brand new Honda Civic.
The goal of the campaign is to encourage local participation in donating to the United Way, which works with local food pantries, schools and health facilities to improve the quality of life for people in the community.
Anyone who gives $52 or more toward the 2013 program, they will be automatically entered into the sweepstakes. Donations will be accepted now through Nov. 30.
"We're really excited," 2012 Chair Gary Bezucha said. "This is something we've been wanting to do for a long time, and we think it's going to have a tremendous impact on the success of our campaign this year; which translates to the success for the entire community."
People can sign up for payroll deduction at their workplace or make a donation individually.
