A UW-Stevens Point employee is facing charges of battery and disorderly conduct.
A criminal complaint alleges the misdemeanor counts against Christopher J. Robinson, who works as a development specialist.
The alleged victim told prosecutors that Robinson had punched her and headbutted her on November 12th.
Officers say when they attempted to arrest him, he resisted. When they told him he would receive additional charges for resisting, he complied.
Kate Worster, UWSP's Executive Director of University Relations and Communications released the following statement about the charges:
"The university is aware of the criminal complaint against C.J. Robinson, a development specialist. The university is investigating the circumstances surrounding the criminal complaint. Mr. Robinson is no longer physically present on campus.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is always concerned about the safety and welfare of our students, faculty and staff. We swiftly respond to all concerns and complaints and follow proper procedures to ensure fair and appropriate responses. The welfare of the campus community is paramount."
