The Stevens Point City Clerk says polling location for District 7 will be open until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 after it opened a half-hour late that morning.
In a press release, City Clerk, John Moe said the Seventh District polling place was not able to open on time because the Armory Representative did not arrive to open the building until after 7:10 a.m.; delaying the opening of the polling place until 7:30 a.m., thirty minutes after the statutorily required time.
Moe petitioned for and was granted an order by the Portage County Circuit Court to extend the polling hours to 8:30 p.m. at the Armory location.
