The Rhinelander Police Department says no charges will be filed in the case of a man accused of threatening the life of a teenage girl while using a racial slur.
A press release on the department website says the investigation is complete and the district attorney will not press charges. It says the Oneida County District Attorney reviewed police interviews with the alleged victim, a witness and the suspect before coming to the decision
A 14-year old girl says a man came out of his house holding a noose and broomstick and yelled "I'm going to hang that little n-word girl" last month.
The man denies the allegation.
Information about the incident surfaced after the girl and her mother posted a Facebook video.
