UPDATE: Motorcylist Dies Following Collison with Bear near Antigo

The Langlade County Sheriff's Department has released the name of a 50-year-old motorcyclist killed Sunday after striking a bear near Antigo.

Sheriff Bill Greening said in a press release Monday, the accident happened seven miles east of Antigo on Highway 64 near Hill Road. Dispatch received a call around 12:40 p.m. Sunday.

The driver, Gary Stevens, of Bowler, was flown to a Wausau hospital where he died of his injuries.
