UPDATE: 6 Abandoned Puppies Now Adopted

The Portage County Sheriff's Department is still looking for information about a person or group who beat a puppy to death and left six others for dead.

Police say on June 8 a couple waking in Jordan Park in Stevens Point found the animals.

The remaining puppies were bought to the Portage County Humane Society.

"We have them all adopted now. So that's really fortunate and they did need medical attention and make sure everything was okay,” Explained Ron Blaha, Executive Director.

If you have any information about the case, please call the Portage County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-346-6600.
