One person is dead after a truck versus train accident in Adams County.
According to a news release, it happened just before 1:30 Saturday afternoon in the Town of Strongs Prairie, just northeast of Necedah. Authorities say, the vehicle driven by Brian A. Bernal, 50, of Arkdale was traveling south on 20th avenue. Deputies say he stopped at a stop sign and proceeded to cross the railroad tracks into the path of a westbound Union Pacific train.
Bernal was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate this incident.
