UPDATE: Train vs. LP Truck Crash In Price County

The Price County Sheriff's Department is identifying the LP truck driver involved in Saturday's train versus truck crash in the Township of Knox as 58-year old Jimmy Jones of Tomahawk. There is still no word on his condition. Jones was transported by ambulance to a local hospital after the accident.

The Price County Sheriff's Department is investigating a train versus LP truck crash at the railroad crossing on N. River Road in the Township of Knox in Price County.

At 10:53 AM the Price County Sheriff's Department received a report of the crash involving a Wisconsin Central Limited Train and and a truck hauling liquified petroleum gas. The LP truck overturned as a result of the crash. A valve on the back of the LP truck was damaged allowing a small amount of LP to leak from the tank. The driver of the LP truck was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

The Price County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, Prentice Fire and Ambulance Service, Tomahawk Fire Department, Catawba Fire Department, Wisconsin Central Limited personnel, and representatives from the trucking company.
