A Gleason man has now been charged with breaking into a home southeast of Merrill on July 2 and stealing a bottle of medication.

Lincoln County authorities say a photo of the suspect, captured by alleged victim's trail camera, posted to Facebook lead to dozens of tips and eventually the suspect's arrest.

Jesse Gilbert, 32, was charged last week in Lincoln County Circuit Court with one count of burglary.

According to the criminal complaint, the alleged victim said he noticed items had been moved around his home and set up a trail camera in his bedroom to capture the activity.

The alleged victim said when he reviewed the footage on July 21, he noticed the camera had captured a photo earlier that month of a man he did not know.

The alleged victims said the only item they noticed missing was a medication bottle containing over the counter pain killers and hydrocondone tablets.

Gilbert is free on a $2,000 signature bond and will return to court Sept. 19 for a clerical court appearance.
