Two people are in custody and two out on bond in Lincoln County after a traffic stop Saturday night led to a drug bust.
A deputy stopped a vehicle on North Sales St. in the City of Merrill for equipment violations, but called in a K9 unit from the Marathon County Sheriff's Department after the Deputy suspected drug use.
Following a search of the vehicle, a 17-year old Merrill man was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia after a syringe and an empty drug package were found in his sock. A second passenger, a 20-year old Merrill man, was also arrested on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia when a pipe used to inject meth fell out of his pocket. Deputies are awaiting a blood test on the 23-year old Merrill woman who was driving the car after she admitted to using meth about two hours before she was stopped. She was also arrested. A fourth passenger, a 29-year old Merrill man was arrested for violating terms of his probation.
