The Town of Grant in Portage County is marking a milestone today, celebrating it's 150th birthday.

The township was founded in 1864.

To celebrate, community members of past and present lined the streets of downtown Kellner to take part in a sesquicentennial parade.

Other festivities included class reunions, a cranberry themed bake-off, and live music.

The Rickman's are one of many families who came out to celebrate their town.

They've been living in Grant for seven generations.

"I've lived here my entire life and this parade certainly brings back fond memories of when we were children and now for the town of grant 150th anniversary we are celebrating again," said Judy Shepard.

Shepard is a fourth generation Rickman.

Rickman family members traveled from as far away as Texas to attend the sesquicentennial.
