There is still time to sign up for a tortellacci cooking class next month in Rhinelander.
Karen Fiocchi will show participants how to make homemade tortellacci on Monday, November 5 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm.
This ‘giant’ tortellini can be found on menus in Bologna, Italy. Taken from her husbands northern Italian Grandmother Rose Fiocchi’s recipe, these tortellacci’s are filled with cheese and spinach and will be served ‘al forno’ (in the oven) with a tomato cream sauce and fresh-grated Parmesan cheese.
The class is sponsored by the YMCA of the Northwoods, in Rhinelander. The cost of the class is $15 for members and $20 for the general public. Space is limited so please register by Thursday, November 1 by calling (715) 362-9622.
Participants in the class will help made these treats, share in a delicious lunch and will take home a small bag of ‘laccis’.
