Tombstone Pizza Co-founder, "Pep" Simek Dies

NewsChannel 7 has learned that Joseph "Pep" Simek has died. You may not be familiar with his name, but you probably know his product.

Simek, along with his brother founded Tombstone Pizza in the early 1960's.

It started out in their tavern in Medford and grew into a company employing hundreds of people. After selling the brand to Kraft Foods in the mid-1980's Simek went on to create Pep's Pizza as well.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 22 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford where there will be a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service and also from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Saturday, February 23 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford
