Toddler Drowns in Western Wis. Lake

Authorities in western Wisconsin are investigating the drowning death of a 20-month-old girl.

According to WCCO-TV, the child was reported missing around 5:30 p.m. On Tuesday, July 2, near Grantsburg in Burnett County.

Authorities said about an hour later, the child was found in Memory Lake in the Village of Grantsburg.

The girl was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities said what led up to the incident is still under investigation. The name of the girl has not been released.
