Thousands Come out for Cranberry Blossom Festival Parade

The Wisconsin Rapids Cranberry blossom Festival is coming to an end. Today, the heart of Wisconsin Camber of Commerce hosted the annual Festival Parade.

The parade started at noon and lasted until 2 p.m. Thousands gathered downtown to watch the floats and cars pass by, as children scrambled to catch candy.

Aryn Schneider came with friends this year. "I have a 9-year-old, so we usually make it a point to get here every year at noon so he can get all of his candy." But this year Schneider was in the parade passing out flyers to promote her new business, Progressive Veterinary Services.

Schneider said being in the parade is a great way for business owners to sell their business.

The parade ran along East Grand Ave. to the JCPenny parking lot at the Rapids Mall. The Grand Rapids firefighters celebration started soon after.
