The Broadway Theatre Goes Digital

The Broadway Theatre in Medford is saying goodbye to film and hello to digital with a brand new digital projector. The small town theater was able to fund the new projector though a kickstart program.

Kickstarter.com is a website that makes asking for donations quick and simple.

Dave Fleegel, co-owner of Broadway Theatre, said they've only had the new projector for three days now and he can't wait to put it to use. "It really is going to give us a great foot hold to continue the consistent business we've known since we've taken over the facility," said Fleegel.

The theater's first digital feature will be Indiana Jones, the classic, which is a movie they could never show before.

Tomorrow's movie is free for those who donated thought the kickstart program, and $25 for everyone else. Fleegel says they're going to put that money towards buying a second projector.

Special screenings will be held every night this weekend at 7 p.m. Snacks and prizes will be provided.
