Tax Season Starts Late to Your Dismay

Tax filing will start a little later this year, kicking off January 30th instead of the 22nd like previous years. For most Americans, filing taxes this year will be the same. For others, those that like to get early refunds may have to wait a little longer.

David Kamke, VP of Wausau Tax and Accounting said, “With us, we usually keep people’s appointments and meetings the same because they still come to meet with us no matter if the date is later or early. We just can’t file them yet and send it in as quick as we normally do.”

Even with tax season starting a little later, tax professionals are still encouraging you to continue to start tax preparation to meet the April 15th deadline.

Also, as you’ll probably see in your next pay check, keep in mind the 2% increase in tax on pay roll sheets.
