According to AAA, New Year's Day is the deadliest for alcohol related fatalities on the roads. But the Tavern League of Wis. runs a Saferide home program to help keep people safe.

Marathon, Portage, Oneida, Wood and Lincoln counties are among the 50 or so taking part across the state. If you drink too much, just tell the bartenders you can't drive. They'll give you a voucher and then call a cab for a free ride home. The majority of pubs take part.
