A Waupaca County woman facing more than a dozen charges related to three robbery incidents last month has pleaded not guilty by mental disease or defect.
Jessica Kaminske, 34, of Manawa is facing 14 charges including four counts of armed robbery.
According to a news release from the Waupaca Sheriff's Department, on February 28, around 3 a.m., Waupaca police say they were called to the Grand Seasons Hotel for the report of an attempted robbery. The victim said the suspect demanded money and indicted she had a weapon.
Nearly seven hours later, sheriff’s deputies say they were called to Primrose Gardens and Gifts in Manawa. A suspect matching the description from the earlier attempted robbery had gone in and demanded money. After she left, the business owner got a picture of her license plate.
Less than a half-hour later, police were called to Feminine Touch, on Western Ave., in Waupaca. The clerk told officers that a female walked in and tied her up. The suspect left the store with an undetermined amount of cash and the store phone.
Police say an officer then saw the suspect’s vehicle pulling into a Hardee’s restaurant. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the woman.
Kaminske remains in the Waupaca County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond. She will need to undergo a competency exam before her next court appearance.
