The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is searching for a motorcycle driver that led them on high speed chase near Tomahawk Sunday night.
According to a news release, a Deputy was driving north on US Hwy 51 near County Rd S just after 7 p.m., when he spotted the green motorcycle heading south at 84 mph.
The Deputy turned on high lights and siren and the driver accelerated to 100 mph.
For safety reasons the Deputy did not pursue the motorcycle and soon lost sight of it.
A short time later a Deputy was watching the southbound off ramp to State Rd 64 at US Hwy 51 when a motorcycle matching the description exited. The Deputy tried to stop the cycle but it fled to the east on State Rd 64 at over 100 MPH.
