A 22-year-old man is in the Vilas County jail after an home invasion early Friday morning.
The Sheriff's Department said received a 911 call from a home on Hwy 70 east in Arbor Vitae reporting someone inside the home. The caller’s wife heard someone in the dining room went to see what the noise was and saw something bent over on the floor. She went to touch it and a male subject wearing a hoodie jumped up and ran out the back door. The call came in around 3:40 a.m.
The Sheriff’s Office K9 unit and Deputies responded to the scene.
The suspect was arrested around 5:40 a.m.
The incident is still under investigation and charges will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.
