A 38-year-old Wausau man wanted by the sheriff's department for suspected drug trafficking since January has been arrested and charged.
Rayco Richardson is behind bars on a $10,000 cash bond. He's charged with two counts of delivering cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of bail jumping.
According to court documents, Richardson would pick up cocaine in Minnesota and sell it in Wausau. His co-defendant, Joshua King, 21, was also charged and convicted. He reached a plea deal in the case in April and was sentenced to one year in jail and 7 ½ years probation.
Investigator say on Jan. 21, 2014 they received a tip King would be traveling to Minnesota to pick up cocaine. King was stopped on Highway 29 near Abbotsford and arrested. According to the criminal complaint, detectives located a large amount of cash, a glass pipe, and marijuana.
Investigators continued their search for Richardson. He was taken into custody Monday.
He's expected to learn if his case will head to trial during this next court appearance on July 2.
