UW-Stevens Point students, faculty, and community members are working alongside a internationally acclaimed environmental sculptor Patrick Dougherty. Their building a unique design that will stand outside the Noel Fine Arts Center.
The structure is being built by contorting maple, willow, and dogwood saplings that have been harvested locally.
Doughtery's built more thatn 230 large scale sculptures by hand all over the world. He uses primitive building techniques and tree saplings as a way to welcome the public.
A free reception that will be open to the public on April 18th at 6pm to unveil the architecture at the Specht Memorial Forum.
