Students Plant Dozens of Trees in Kronenwetter

Members of DC Everest High School's FFA program are working to make the Village of Kronenwetter a little greener.

Today they were out planting trees at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center.

When the project is completed, they expect to plant a total of 24 trees.
The project was put in place in order to replace trees that died as a result of insect infestation.

The student volunteers say its a rewarding experience.

"It will help our area with more oxygen and it is like a bonding experience as well because we are all working together, getting down and having fun." says student Samantha Schneniner.

Funding for the project was provided by the American Transmission Company.
