The Waukesha Police Department has identified a woman killed in a weekend crash as, Duab C.I. Xiong, 25, of Stevens Point.

According to a Waukesha newspaper, the crash happened around 4:42 a.m. on Sunday near the 1100 block of East Moreland Boulevard in that city.

Investigators say Xiong tried passing left of center and the car she was passing turned left into her, causing her to strike a tree.

Authorities say speed was a factor in the accident.

Alcohol was not present at the scene but investigators are waiting on toxicology reports, according to police.

The male driver of the other car was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
