A 75-year-old Stevens Point man charged with viewing inappropriate images at the senior center is expected to learn if his case will head to trial next month.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash.

UPDATE: Mon 5:59 PM, Feb. 3, 2014

Online records say Gordon Miller, 75, of Stevens Point did not show up for his initial appearance Monday and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Miller is expected to be charged with possessing child pornography and 10 counts of possessing an image of a minor without their consent.

This case is by no means Miller's first brush with the law.

The former UW Stevens Point professor first made headlines in central Wisconsin nearly 15-years ago. He was arrested back then after police say he video taped naked boys in the locker room at the YMCA.

Investigators say they found plenty of evidence to convict him. Miller eventually resigned from the university.

He pleaded no contest to the original charges, but he withdrew the plea after the Supreme Court ruled the law on which the crimes were based was too broad. Those charges were dismissed.

In 2001, Miller pleaded no contest to intercepting oral communication and was sentenced to 33-months in prison and 20-years probation.

If you have any information about Miller's whereabouts, contact the Portage County Sheriff's Department at (715) 346-1400.
