Badger redshirt freshman QB Joel Stave has been cleared to play in the Rose Bowl.

Stave broke his collarbone back on October 27 in a loss to Michigan State. Offensive coordinator Matt Canada says Curt Phillips is the starter, but we could see some Stave as well.

Regardless who's under center, the three headed ground attack of Melvin Gordon, James White and Montee Ball will be leaned upon heavily against a stout Cardinal defense. The Caridnal are 3rd in the country defensively giving up just 87 rushing yards per game.
