Spencer Staff Gets Emergency Action Training

In this day and age, we have to be prepared for anything. That’s why school districts are taking a serious look at their emergency action plans.

Law Enforcement is helping to equip employees with the tools to survive any emergency by hosting sessions with businesses and schools. With tools, individuals are able to use the training to do what’s necessary.

The Spencer School District held their session today, in corporation with the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department. Along with revamping their entire emergency action plan, a Deputy also spoke about dealing with an active killer in the workplace.

Deputy Dean Pitt with the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department told us, “We’ve been going through Marathon County to get schools on board with us and reach out. We want people to be prepared in case of any emergency at anytime.”

The department isn’t just briefing school districts; they’re also speaking with businesses of any sort to educate as many people as possible.
